they didn’t think
about it.
That’s the problem, kids usually
don’t plan ahead,
they live in the moment
They just saw a movie
and wanted
to imitate the actors
because they thought what the
actors did was cool
The actors hunted wild
animals through
the jungle
and to do so they built traps
all over the place
They imitated the actors but
the only prey that fell
in their trap
was their pregnant mother. Using
the back door to
come into the yard
she tripped over the wire
they set and
fell
face first into the
knife blades that stuck out from the
ground as they buried the
handles in
The trap was genius level
The therapist would have to be
so as well

Bogdan’s narrative is chilling and horrific. Children, easily influenced by violence on TV and the internet, know little of the consequences of the acts they copy. Immersed in their own worlds, crooked imaginations and recklessness often lead to disasters of epic proportions. Something to think about. Seems like the therapist has their work cut out for them.
Congratulations Bogdan!

Thank you, Terveen! (๑ →‿←๑)
I don’t write poetry with a political message (I’m only interested in characters and situations), but I guess if something political could be interpreted here it would be the fact that violent, unsuitable forms of media are way, way too easily accessible to children today and, well, there are of course consequences… ヽ(O_O )ノ

There’s something about the way you write I like. Short single lines. Perfect timing. Tension build-up. Not sure where things will turn next. And just the right length. I don’t like things that go on and on…yawn

I enjoy your poetry and have been following your blog for a while. Your writing is sometimes unbearably beautiful, then unbearably brutal, always a ‘soulstopper’. Hooked, that’s what I am.

Very good entry !! A complaint really to the media, to parents who let children see movies or series not appropriate for their age and the macabre ending. The human being is born innocent; society corrupts it. A cordial greeting

Very interesting and creative piece. I like that you wrote a really good piece about something that I would never think to write about. Great!

But, well, that’s the beauty of it, I guess :))
