A Never Made Love Proposal by Vineet Singh Galhotra

I dream in love

that in my dreams
whenever I dream
that matchless dream is just your dream
you may not be a part of my life
but your presence is safe, secure, pure and pious
in my each and every dream

I confess in love

that I soak in your presence
in those entrancing and bewitching
droplets of rain
where that pristine fragrance of earth is reminiscent of
your feel, your warmth
your charm and your persona

I aspire in love

to be immersed in the ecstasy
of your oceanic love
where being in a state of drown
is my biggest love crown
so that I forget all the ways
to return to the ocean shore

I want in love

to say a prayer that if God is loved
without being touched or seen
my feelings for you
have never ever raked in a lusty desire for you
where you need to be touched or seen

I realize in love

that when two souls undergo a connect
those bodies do not lust to connect
as that soul connect is as rapturous
as a divine connect
which shall never disconnect
even after my life

I promise in love

to love you
with every single breath
to my last breath
even though I could not express my love
despite your warming presence
in my each and every breath.

Vineet writes of love and the doubts and emotions that spill from the mind and heart. Knowing love, feeling it, experiencing its purity yet never expressing it can be sad and also liberating. The intimacy of one’s thoughts and feelings often remain buried beneath layers of conscious thinking. Yes, divine love does exist when we find God present in every being. I wish this love proposal has a lovely beginning.
    Congratulations Vineet!

Terveen, the way you have put across the underlying sentiment behind my poem speaks volumes about your inherent intellect to catch the mind state of the writer. I have always felt that pristine unsaid love has a strong tendency to turn spiritual if you cherish feeling of that love in reverence instead of longing that love in apathy.

You grow in that glow of unsaid love.

Thank you so much for granting space to my poem in MasticadoresIndia. Grateful to the core 🌹🌹
