The War Inside by Stephen Allen

There is a silence about you

That has never been explored

So many things inside you

That are still fighting a war

Some days can be unkind

Other days you will try to forget

Just stay for all of those days

Today more than all of the rest

Be gentle with your soul

It needs to be treated kindly

Give some time to heal

It needs your care and patience

Stephen’s poetry inspires one to look within and know oneself a little better. We crave for love and care from others but neglect that there’s an ocean of love inside us. Dip into it and soak in its tranquil waters. Healing can only begin when the heart and mind love each other. Such an inspiring way to say that self-love is most important.
    Congratulations Stephen!

So true. Be gentle with ourselves and don’t beat ourselves up too much just to fit an impossible role. Life has alternatives. Open our mind to possibilities…
