Running Through the Flowers by Jeff Flesch

The painting of a small house with a garden and flowers

the road unfolds along a dirt abode, where travelers

come together seeking

shelter

from

the

storm

rising with the sun, learning more in the afternoon

glow, hints of colors so

vivid, we are

off

and

on the run

towards the sunset, looking to the love within the

window we’ve called

forth

on this

conquest, we call

home…

to live and love again, running through the flowers,

gently brushing them as we

pass, we remind

ourselves

of the delicacy, and beauty

living within

the tall

grass

of this life, human beings, cast…

Ah, I completely agree with you, Pragalbha. One of my reflections that led to this poem was the inner resonance with spring, and the way we hold these concepts as possible even in the coldest parts of the winter. In a way,
always carrying spring within us. Thank you for this lovely reflection, my dear friend. ☺️
