SURPRISE by Michael Walters

She looked into the box.  Her eyes widened, and she violently closed the box back up.

Until that moment, she had felt in control, but now?

Reaching for the duct tape, she began wrapping the box in layer after layer

Pretty soon she ran out of tape leaving the box completely covered

Relaxing a bit, she slumped in her chair and wondered what she should do next

It was then when the box moved.

She tried to scramble out of her chair and get away from it

Except she never made it

Michael writes of a SURPRISE I for one would never want to get. Haha. It’s amazing how one can interpret and present a word in such a shocking way. I hope whatever was in that box doesn’t make its way to another unsuspecting receiver. We’ll have to wait for part two to find out. Isn’t that the curious flavour writing should possess?
    Congratulations Michael!

    1. Part 2? You got me worried now. Killer (mini) robot breaks out of box and slits her throat (a la Bogdan).

      Don’t panic it’s all fiction (Bogdan again)……

I’m sure Michael makes nice robots though……

This sort of reminded me of an Alfred Hitchcock story. Scary story. Congratulations! Nice writing. Hugs, Joni
