Don’t Think, Just Go Along With It by Bogdan Dragos

the candles were not

made of wax

it was something

Something that smelled

like sweat as they

there were five

of them

One for each

corner of the pentagram

They had to take

the furniture

and the carpet out

of the room

to trace it

in the middle

with powders he’d never

heard about

or smelled

or seen before

he’d never heard

or seen or

thought about anything

like this before

He just went

And now watched

her round, shaved head

in the dancing light

of the candles

She looked like

an eastern goddess

to him

“I think we’re ready,” she

He didn’t know what

they were ready for

but went along

again and

stretched naked over the

pentagram as instructed

and watched as

she mounted him

She rode him in complete

No moaning,

no heavy breathing,

like she felt nothing at all

“The way to summon

the devil is

through your womb,” she

explained. “The seed

of a man who

wants to die

is required. How lucky

I am to have

found you, love.”

A few days ago

he wrote on social

media that if

he doesn’t find a

goth girlfriend

in six days he’ll kill himself

Maybe words

really do

hold power

after all

Bogdan gives devil worship an interesting and sadistic angle in this poetic piece. Summoning the devil through one’s womb is one thing but sacrificing some social media idiot is taking things a bit too far. Next time, when you post something make sure you think twice. Someone might be taking you quite literally. Horrifying…
    Congratulations Bogdan!

    1. ( ๑>ᴗ<๑ ) Welp, the thing with posting things online is… they'll either take it seriously, or they'll find meanings that simply aren't there and judge your whole character based on that… It's complicated.

  3. The pentagram method don’t sound too exciting. Give me a non-goth in a springy bed…….

This is wild Bogdan. Kind of makes one think twice about posting things. Sometimes I try and figure out where your thoughts and ideas spring from, you have such an intense sense of many topics. You could be writing movies my friend. One certainly has to be careful about lurking about in evil places because you could bring that evil back with you. Blessings to you Bogdan and great writing!

    1. Honestly, the more I write, the more I realize it’s got nothing to do with technique or logic. Every time I try to approach it from a ‘thinking and analyzing’ point of view I fail at it. It only works when you get your thinking mind out of the way. Let go and let God, in other words :))
And then you’ll be truly amazed by what comes out. Sometimes shocked even. So shocked that you’ll have to take a step back and wonder “Should I really be sharing this with the world?”
If it came from the heart, the answer is always “YES”.
People will, of course, judge you based on it and jump to conclusions, but that’s okay. As writers, what we really want is to make our voices heard (even if they don’t sound nice to some ears).

So true and well said. When I am still waking up in the morning some of my best work comes out of the blue. I wish I could just get up and remember all the words I often forget. I know exactly what you mean. Your writing is raw, real and wonderful to read. Blessings to you. 🦋
