Mount Ararat holds the wind
in the silence of snow peaks
where splinters of the ark rub
nails creaking in her cypress side
hope traversing mountain wafts
lavender, jasmine, and wisteria sing
woeful at an oath once absolute
as God sends a strike of lightening
into hell to stoke the firestorm
of evil that lurks from the devil
ashes defiling the white of her peaks

Joni’s poetry is invigorating and a wonderful end to this month’s publication. Good vanquishing evil – a powerful message that sends out euphoric vibes and a hope that all will be well. In this day and age, such words can only be music to the ears. Very much wanted. Very much appreciated.
Congratulations Joni!

I googled and it says, “Mount Ararat” is located in Turkey and it is has volcanic craters. Isn’t that magical?

It really is and I am glad you were interested enough to google it. I did my own research to learn about the plants that grow there as well as where the location was during biblical days. You are certainly right and It is magical. Thank you so much for reading and your interest in the subject. Blessings to you my friend. Hugs, Joni
