morning tranquility
broken and crumbled, my part
of ashes spread all over the flower garden
and within the nest of my heart
made out of sticks and stones
you gave to me
through words
made up of dried bones
it’s just like that sometimes, we want so
desperately to fall in line
with that which we perceive as bound to time
though, through the mirror
we can find
this musical hearts rhythm and rhyme

Jeff’s poetic piece is the consolation we give ourselves when the desire and the outcome drastically differ in nature. The way the natural elements are imbibed to portray the roughness of relationships and the mismatch of emotions is creative symbolism. Pausing and reflecting while allowing the heart too fine tune itself with a peaceful state of mind is the best we can do.
Congratulations Jeff!

Beautiful imagery of the broken things that make new nests and support new life. Oh, to hear that music clearly and know when it’s your solo or your time to sing in the choir. I really enjoyed this one, Jeff.

Your beautiful piece speaks to me of letting go, and living life at its own rhythm, not one you invent out of neeedful wishing…Deep and wise Jeff!

This is lovely, makes me feel sad and happy. And makes me think that sometimes we do try desperately, when we really let life flow naturally.
