freckles rearranging erotic patterns on pale, poreless skin
cotton candy, and elephant ears dripping in sugar and butter
air shifts smell mixing with scented moments, holds onto life
white eyelet dress clings to sun-soaked skin; its holes breathe
virgin lips plump, yearn for a first kiss, weary of practicing
guilty for praying for my first kiss, selfish prayer, tears move
weaving between the holes in my dress as they fall to my chest
sulking as my legs, get me to the ferris wheel as I hear your voice
our tickets, holding my hand, let’s go and kiss the rest of this day
God unfolds the seeds of love as He fulfills my prayer in His way
