Plans were put in action
Expand our city yes
Build more roads, more houses
Small Los Angeles
Good for our city….
Now population’s grown
Suburbs stretch for miles
Powers that be want more to come
Improve our city’s style
Roads now packed with motor cars
Housing costs expensive
Price of power highest in world
Commuting time’s extensive
We should have been happy with what we had….

Don’s poetry often offers perspectives on the world and the way it’s changing – the goods the bads and the in betweens. Growth doesn’t always equate to prosperity. At times, it may even mean slipping into a state of stagnancy. The means to sustain must always remain greater than the needs that are to be satiated or else trouble is the most likely outcome.
Congratulations Don!

I agreed Don! The facade of a better life is an illusion.
