Gravel Graves by Jeff Flesch

Your image haunts my days

a hallowed out heart

remains

in touch

with the beauty of the night

stars twinkling, and speaking in tongues

made out of clay

a remnant of previous days

and of the love

crushing

the gravel upon our graves

This is a shift from your usual style Jeff. A but dark, yet moving.

Just beautiful, Jeff. I too, agree with Mike, such a lovely piece. I really enjoyed this particularly unusual link as I have never heard it used before: “stars twinkling, and speaking in tongues” – great imagination and lovely poem. Sending hugs and blessings as always my friend. Joni

Welcome to the dark side Jeff. Still playing with emotions, being inspired by nature. Exploring the beauty that still exists even in the darkness. Great job.
